What is Keto?

Healthy fats. Most meats are keto friendly, most nuts and seeds, some fruits like berries, and non starchy vegetables. Here’s a list of keto approved foods.

Is Keto the same as Low-Carb?

Sort of, both have similar principles such as, restricting the amount of carbohydrates you consume. Sometimes Low-carb diet can be used as a blanket term, generally Keto is a little more restrictive on the amount of carbohydrates and sugars you intake.

Are bananas Keto?

Generally speaking NO. Here is a keto approved foods list.

Does Keto Cure [Disease]?

Keto has many health benefits, some of which are widely excepted, others are contested. You should always consult your doctor before starting a new diet.

Is Keto good for you?

There are many health benefits that come from a Ketogenic diet including weight loss, and diabetes control. You should always consult your doctor before starting a new diet.

Can I have dairy products on Keto?

Yes. Most people will be okay with dairy products like cheese or butter, heavy whipping cream etc. Some people do report dairy products “kicking them out of Ketosis.” Try to avoid milk.

Can I have bread on keto / Low-carb?

Traditional breads NO. Breads are high in carbs, and are not part of most low-carb diets including Keto. There are some low-carb bread brands widely available that have very few carbohydrates or you can make your own!
